Emotions.

I Release Strong Emotions

What a beautiful time to put love and energy into your internal world. With that in mind, you are being encouraged to remember that all feelings are valid, yet none need to be held onto forever. Our emotions are sensations and feelings that guide us to know ourselves in a deeper way.Sometimes they are warning signs if a chosen path is going to involve a lot of bumps and pain, and other times they are confirmation that you are exactly where you want to be. It can sometimes seem difficult to ascertain what an emotion is trying to tell us, and the truth is, it’s different for everyone. On occasion, emotions can arise because a past wound or trauma has been reactivated by an event in the current moment. Or they can arise because a boundary has been crossed. Emotions flow through us when we are in deep states of appreciation and love. When we are feeling connected with ourselves and with the divine. Therefore no emotion is “good” or “bad”, they just signpost different things for us.The mastery is in figuring out what your emotions are trying to say to you, and then being able to act from that place of awareness and knowing, so that the emotions don’t get the better of you. The healing in this card is offering you the ability to perceive any uncomfortable emotions, but then have the ability to let them flow through you. Bitterness, anger and resentment do not need to find a home in you. Like houseguests, you can be polite to those who come to your front door, you may even be gracious enough to let them in for a cup of tea and listen to what they have to say. You do not, however, need to offer them a room to stay, or a permanent place in your little sanctuary. It is absolutely ok to ask them to leave. It’s similar to the saying that you can “forgive but not forget”. Forgiveness allows you to release the bitterness and anger from settling into your cells, whilst still holding on to the wisdom and experience that may guide you to make a different decision next time. You can have clarity and insight, without having to hold onto painful feelings that only you can feel. The other emotional houseguest you need to keep an eye on is fear. Fear is that friend that you can take in small doses. When fear arises inside of you, take the time to figure out what it is trying to tell you, then trace back the thread to see whether the threat is factually current, or is being built off a difficult or traumatic experience you had in the past, or a distorted view of the future.Do you see the difference?Fear can be a wonderful warning sign when we are in near and imminent danger, but it can also be that friend that naysays everything, and unnecessarily stops people from having a good time. Take some time this month to choose your emotional houseguests wisely. Be respectful of all feelings and emotions that come your way. Listen to their point of view, but use your self respect and power to release them once you have become clear on what they are showing you. By clearing out any unhelpful or restrictive feelings, you make more space in your beautiful internal home for all the lovely houseguests you’d like to host such as gratitude, happiness, love and joy. That sounds pretty good, yeah? With love xx Card deck: Divine Beloved Oracle by Tosha Silver
