Cerridwen
This month the myth of the goddess crone Cerridwen reminds us that everything we receive is perfectly measured by the Divine.
Although our human minds may wish for things to be sped up, for all the insight and change to come at once, higher guidance knows that too much at once could be overwhelming.
That is why we are being asked to be patient.
With patience comes wisdom.
You are in the middle of moving around some big building blocks, ones that will become the foundation for who you are for the rest of your life.
If you move those blocks around with too much haste, or without the time to ensure they are positioned in the right place, they may not end up exactly where you want, or need, them to be.
Don’t be disheartened, this month’s message is not telling you to grind things to a halt or stop taking risks.
It’s merely a reminder that where there is a slowing of pace you can be sure that great things are brewing and in time you will be able to reap the rewards.
Cerridwen’s legend is that her magick brew, the Awen, that was prepared for a year and a day can only be received in a very specific dose.
Three drops of her enchanting elixir and the gift of wisdom is bestowed upon you for eternity.
More than three drops and the result is fatal.
So what are we mortals to make of this?
In our lives, this translates as a respect for the process of the Divine unfolding in our lives.
If we try and rush we risk missing the beautiful gifts that are making their way towards us.
Fortunately for us, our impatience is not fatal.
It simply means that the Divine needs to find another way to reach us.
We’ve simply taken a little detour off the Divine path, and that can take us a little longer to reach our destination.
No biggie.
It’s just like on a road trip when you get impatient with the cars in front of you, so you take an earlier exit, but it ends up taking you more time in the long run to get there because the route was less direct. Even without the slow traffic.
So Cerridwen is inviting us to heed her instructions this month.
To save us more time in the long run.
Pay attention to the signs being delivered to you and where you sense the need for patience trust that it is calling to you for good reason.
This month the saying really is true – “Good things come to those who wait!”
With love xx
