Eight of Coins.
Commit to doing something you love.
When you live in such a fast paced world, it is easy to get swept up in a culture of everything needing to be right here, right now.
You have been trained to have food delivered, to purchase clothing at the click of a button, and you might find yourself in a state of impatience when someone doesn’t answer your text message within the hour.
It’s not your fault.
It’s the society we’ve all been conditioned into, and in many ways, it works.
This month’s message is a reminder that some of the best and most important things in your life need to take time.
In the Eight of Coins we see a man honing his craft, in action and very much in the moment. He is paying attention to the thing that he wishes to master. He is perfecting his skill and willing to learn.
You are being encouraged to put the time and effort into those things that you want to master in your life.
Be it career, relationships, parenting or something else – the message is to give that thing the attention it deserves so that you can allow it to blossom.
The thing that you most desire deserves your love and tender care.
Perhaps it’s your relationship with yourself that could most do with your focus and nurturing?
Or maybe you have a big dream that you’ve been reluctant to put the time and effort into birthing it in the world.
Spirit is also reminding me to be clear in the distinction between living in flow and persevering to grow something.
Planting a lotus flower in dry, arid soil – that’s not in flow.
Planting a lotus flower in a muddy pond and being patient while it takes hold – that’s perseverance.
Do you see the difference?
If something isn’t aligned for you, if it’s not the right conditions for your growth, you’ll hit a very strong roadblock. Deep down inside you’ll be able to feel that either fear is your motivating choice, or the voices of others are influencing your way of thinking.
But if your heart feels uplifted at the ideas you have, at the thought of whatever it might be that you want to create for yourself, it’s ok for that thing to take time.
Sometimes things need to line up in a particular way in order for it all to come together for you. And that can take some time, but keep the faith and persevere and trust that you will receive.
This month draw on the energy of the Eight of Coins and allow yourself to enjoy the apprentice energy. Have fun with the creation process and simmer in the energy of trust and patience.
Continue to be active and work towards your dreams, whilst being humble with the time it might take to get there.
In this particular instance, good things really do come to those who wait… xx Card deck: The Chinese Tarot Deck by Jui Guoliang
