Blessing of the Air

This card came out recently for a client in a session and I’m not at all surprised that it has appeared again here.

The element of Air represents the realm of your thoughts –  what you think, how you think and what you believe.

Tuning into the energy of this card you see a woman with an elaborate headdress. It is overflowing with an abundance of flowers and fruit. A bee circles her head in search of the sweet goodness that lies within.

On her arm you see the Celtic Double Spiral. A symbol of balance, and also an acknowledgment of the Equinox time of year. As the Equinox has just passed this is a reminder to consider balance in all aspects of your life.

Ask yourself,

Where have my thoughts fallen out of balance?

Where have I allowed my perception of the world, my life or a situation to become too concrete, not allowing for a flexible point of view?

If you imagine yourself as this Lady of the Air, what thoughts and beliefs would allow this beautiful, abundant life to grow?

Take some time to reflect and be sure to go gently as you run this mental inventory on your thoughts.

If you discover that your mind has been circling around thoughts of negativity, self-criticism, fear or lack take a big breath and then release.

Accept what is with the knowledge that it is never too late to change.

Imagine your mind as a lovely little garden bed.

If the plants are now old or overgrown take some time to lovingly tend to it.

One by one imagine yourself removing the old growth, placing it into an imaginary compost, knowing that it will eventually nourish the earth in it’s broken down state.

When it feels that your garden bed is now clear you can begin to fertilise the ground and plant in new thoughts and beliefs.

You might like to imagine particular thoughts or beliefs as specific flowers that you love.

Perhaps the thought, “I am enough” could be a lovely pink daisy, and you might like to plant lots of those throughout your beautiful mind garden.

The choice is entirely yours. Plant as many as you like.

Be sure to pay attention to the plant life in the physical world around you. Is there a particular plant or flower that always seems to catch your eye?

Maybe your mind garden needs some of those?

Tune into what that plant or flower makes you think of when you see it. Trust your intuition to guide you.

The bee in this image is also a reminder that you are part of a greater whole.

If you feel as though your mind garden is already in a lovely balanced state that’s wonderful.

Maybe you could go about spreading some of your beautiful mind flower thoughts with the people around you that you love.

Whenever we have an abundant garden (in whatever form) it is always nice to share.

Knowing that your thoughts and views of the world feed your community, will you choose you provide them with nourishment and love?

Some tools that can be really useful for creating a healthy, abundant mind garden:

🌀 Journalling out your thoughts

🌀 Meditation

🌀 Spending time in nature

Enjoy this process of consciously cultivating thoughts of beauty and love.

I’d love to hear about what you create.
