Miss Rose Petals

Many of you will have seen on social media my introduction to the newest member of our family, but being the lover I am of synchronicity I couldn’t help but share her story here as well.

James and I have been considering getting Sunday and Stevie a cat for a while, but we weren’t at all committed. I had been asking for guidance, to make it clear for me if this was a heart centred idea that would be the right decision for our family. Promising to love and nurture an animal soul is not a role I take lightly.

Whilst still remaining unclear on what path we would take I had been looking at cat rescue sites, just to see which little souls needed a home.

On last Thursday afternoon, after checking the Lost Dogs Home website a little earlier, I randomly asked Sunday (3.5 years old) what she would like to call a cat if we were to get one?

She replied with certainty, “Rose Flower”.

We had a little conversation around whether Rosie might be a more practical name and then chatted about other things. Releasing the idea of getting a cat from our minds.

Cue divine signpost…

After the girls had gone to bed a few hours later I checked the site again – This time a cat had just been listed called…

Rose Petals.

Seriously.

Of all the names she could have. Not Millie, not Charlie – Rose Petals.

Her description said that she would be perfect for a young family due to her outgoing nature, which is often a rare trait in rescued or stray cats.

You can imagine my reaction – we couldn’t really say “No” to that Divine Guidance!

Now I know you might think that Flower and Petal aren’t exactly the same words. Just as our spirit does it’s best to guide you to the oracle card that best describes your situation, spirit was guiding Sunday to the best words she could find to tell me our animal friend was waiting. When you consider a 3.5 year old channeling Divine Guidance into her vocabulary Flower is a pretty close choice. It was clear enough to me that this wasn’t an incredibly freaky coincidence.

Needless to say we called the Home the next morning and went in as soon as we could to see the auspicious Rose Petals.

When we arrived to meet her she lounged out of her cage like, “Oh, you’re here.” On the way home in the car she was so relaxed she nearly fell asleep then proceeded to walk around our house as if Sunday had already given her a telepathic virtual tour before we got her there. (Which she probably had)

She is divine, and Divinely Guided to us that’s for sure!

You will quite likely be seeing more of Miss Rose Petals in the future.
